Marilyn Murphy is a proud member of the International Coach Federation (ICF). A non-profit, individual membership organization formed by coaching professionals that is the world’s largest resource for business and professional coaches. The mission of ICF, is to build, support and preserve the integrity of the coaching profession through programs and standards.

Marilyn Murphy completed her training as a transformative mediator at Louise Phipps Senft’s renowned intensive training program. Louise was named “Baltimore’s Best” Mediator by Baltimore Magazine 2002. Marilyn has implemented her training and mediated numerous cases in both civil disputes and family altercations.

Prior to founding Force of One Coaching, Marilyn spent 20 years in a wide range of fields. She holds an A.A. degree in nursing from Villa Julie College, a B.S. degree in Marketing and Communications from Towson University and has completed graduate studies in Business Management at Loyola College and Columbia University. Her background encompasses both clinical and business experience. She has held numerous positions in sales management, mergers and acquisitions, operations, business development, public relations, marketing, and senior level positions in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry.

Marilyn started Force of One Coaching wanting all of her clients to find fulfillment and harmony. To that end, she feels the coaching experience is a journey through life’s challenges. While she serves as a guide, her goal is for the client to be ultimately responsible for attaining the great things they desire and deserve.

Marilyn has experienced firsthand the challenges and transitions that most women face—marriage, divorce, motherhood and career. She has witnessed the emotional and financial hardships that can create intense turmoil, guilt and sadness.
